Holistic approach to pollution

What does it mean, "a holistic approach to pollution?" Microplastics, biocides, invasive species, infectious agents, Co2.. They all matter when looking at emissions from #aquaculture nets. The choice of net material and coating is important, but even more so is the way we use them. And we need a plan for life cycle management of all equipment used at sea.
Debating #microplastic emissions at the annual NAMC conference in Bergen, leading scientists, industries and other stakeholders gathered to learn and collaborate. As a producer of #paint and a supplier to the #aquaculture industry this topic is of special interest to Steen-Hansen. For us, product stewardship means to care about design, responsible use and the entire product life cycle.
